James Suckling:

Medium-bodied with caressing, cashmere-textured tannins that are very pretty. Hints of chocolate and spices. The richness comes through beautifully in the pure fruit finish.

Decanter:

Gorgeous creamy vanilla blackcurrant on the nose, perfumed and aromatic. Floral, richly scented. Clean and crisp but with body too, the acidity and clean freshness lifts the palate but this has power no doubt and a dark core of blueberry, liquorice, slate and blackcurrant. Feels really ripe and you get some of the Pomerol glamour in the texture here which is great. Still ends clean and ultra refined though. A great wine in the making. Not dense but definitely structured. Complexity. 3.72pH. A yield of 42hl/ha. Ageing 70% new oak.

Tim Atkin:

Earthy rich spices with some chalkiness and dark black fruit scents. Juicy and rich concentrated fruit with supple tannins and fresh balancing acidity. Juiciness and concentration on the finish. Should be approachable in relative youth, but affords a lovely taste of Eglise Clinet and the vintage
