Recensioni degli esperti

James Suckling:

A linear and crunchy red with mineral and stone character. Medium body, fine tannins and a lightly chewy finish. A blend of 85% merlot and 15% cabernet franc.

Decanter:

Ripe and concentrated, a lovely texture to this straight away, satin like tannins with fresh raspberry and creamy blackcurrant. Quite a soft palate, not too tense or lean, filling and calm. Controlled with such approachability, while staying cool and fresh. Appealing. Still with great structure. Touches of liquorice, cola and chocolate. 3.72pH. A yield of 35hl/ha.

Tim Atkin:

Juicy and fresh with some cassis, plum and liquorice aromas. Just the beginnings of spice from oak. In the mouth this has the sappy acidity of the vintage, but a silkiness of texture and it is very Pomerol in style. Long fresh finish. La Chenade is from younger vines and sandier soils than Les Cruzelles, of which estate both form a part. With massale selection of Cabernet Franc from Eglise Clinet made by Denis Durantou.
