L'avis des experts

James Suckling:

A firm and refined red with blackcurrant and mineral character. Medium-bodied, chewy and polished, suggesting well-selected grapes for the vintage. Well done.

The Wine Advocate:

The 2024 Langoa Barton is showing beautifully, wafting from the glass with aromas of sweet blackberries and plums mingled with notions of licorice, pencil shavings and lilac. Medium to full-bodied, with lively acids and good depth and density, it's pure and refined. This is a blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc, picked between 24 September and 5 October.

Decanter:

Fragrant raspberry and red cherry on the nose. Floral scents with some herbal, blackcurrant leaf aspects too. Grippy and lively, this has personality with bright cherry fruit, clean and clear, before slightly salty but fine tannins come in. Round and soft, crushed velvet with a gentle persistence. I love the structure and the overall weight, the Cabernet really shining. Compact on the finish where the tannins reside but this has a nice elegance and lift. Ageing 60% new oak. Tasted twice.
