This is a silky and very balanced wine that shows plenty of Sangiovese brightness and character. The Castello di Meleto 2016 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione reveals dark cherry, dried currant, light spice and cured tobacco. The aromas are integrated and balanced. It plays its best cards to the palate where the wine shows soft texture and a long, polished finish. The effect is elegant and graceful.
