Vagüera El Maderal 2022

One year later, the white 2022 Vagüera, from a vineyard he has worked biodynamically since 2010, has advanced very slowly. It has notes of dry hay and straw and feels more Mediterranean, with hints of flowers, spice and herbs, nuanced and complex. The full clusters were pressed, and the juice fermented in used oak barrels, where it matured for 12 months followed by another year in concrete. It has a dry, tasty medium-bodied palate with a velvety mouthfeel. It's super tasty and long—slow cooking. It transcends the year. (Luis Gutiérrez)
