Alberelli Di Giodo Bianco 2022

From the Montalcino producer Giodo, the 2022 Carricante is from the north side of Sicily. It offers great aromatics of lime oils, white flowers, and beeswax, but is very lean and saline. Medium-bodied though richly textured, it has wonderful length to its notes of fresh pear and starfruit. It is wonderful and crystalline, with vibrancy. I love this wine, which has wonderful freshness, while also promising notable aging potential. Drink 2024-2036.

This is pure carricante with honeysuckle, lemons, and light grapefruit with a salty sense to the aromas. The same character comes through on the palate with a medium to full body, creamy texture and pretty finish. Lemongrass and mineral highlight the subtle fruit flavors and acidity. Tangy. Clean and clear nature to this. Drink now.
